I snagged the above from Cab's Creations... Thank you!
Well, looks like I have a few presents to wrap already! I just wish I had the energy to wrap them right now.. It's been a looong week..
I cannot believe it's already December!! 24 more days until Christmas!! That leaves only about 3 weeks of shopping! I can feel the pressure.
I believe I found something I can ask husband to buy me, but I'm afraid to say that it is the most practical, unromantic item I could ask him to buy for me. It's a steam cleaner, Bissell! Yes, it's a carpet cleaner--it looks like a vacuum and it's on sale for 1/2 price at Kohls. What do you think? Should I ask him to buy it, or should I ask for jewelry (which I hardly wear) and rent a carpet cleaner machine from the grocery store? I'm afraid to ask him for it because it may give him the impression that I want cleaning equipment for birthdays and holidays for the rest of my life. It is a little scary that I actually WANT this steam cleaner. I may be slowly becoming obsessive with cleanliness; worse yet, I may be turning into my mother...
I could really bore you and go into detail of stories from my childhood. I'd be sitting in the car, with my siblings, and my dad would be at the front seat waiting for mom to get out of the house. Suddenly, from inside we could hear the vacuum cleaner turn on in the living room. Yes, it was mom doing some last minute cleaning, because heaven knows WHO may be dropping by later unannounced; perhaps the Queen of England. My father tried to be so patient. Let's just say, we were always "fashionably late" most of the time.
This weekend we hope to get out the Christmas decorations and put up the tree. I also want to do a dent in my Christmas shopping, and take a nice walk on Santana Row; possibly take in a movie with the kids.. Unfortunately, weekends never seem long enough. There is a Christmas parade Sunday I want to go to as well, AND we can't forget the neighborhood party down the street! Oh, and of course, I have grocery shopping, and cleaning to do..because who knows who may come by unexpected...
I hope your weekend is relaxing and fun-filled! Be safe!

Hmmm, a steam cleaner for Xmas. NO!!!! How about some cruise tickets or lingerie instead? Maybe you could go out and buy that steam cleaner now while it is on sale. Just because you want one.
So much to do, so little time. Enjoy your parade and your shopping and your neighborhood party. And forget the vacuuming ! lol Have fun, Tina
You ARE in the Christmas spirit! :-D
Enjoy!
Gem :-)
Oh yes, ask DH for the steamer.......that is a lovely gift. Just let him know jewelry is # 1. lol
LOVE, lisa
LOL... don't we all eventually turn at least partially into our moms??? LOL
{{{ Julie }}} It's okay, we'll start a 12 step program! lol
be well,
Dawn
ps... can't wait to hear about the party
I was previewing my store's After Thanksgiving Sale items, and one of the higher ticket items was a steam cleaner. I rolled my eyes and told my manager: 'Yep, nothing says Merry Christmas Sweetheart like a steam cleaner", and he swore it was a hot item. I guess so, hehehehe! We also got little mini vacs in 3 different colors. I told the Oompas that I was going to get them each one of their own for Christmas. My oldest daughter was actually excited! Go figger!
