This morning I got a cute email from my cousin's daughter, Tania. She will be flying down from Lisbon next month to visit her boyfriend, Ruben-who happens to live only like a mile from our house. :) They are so much in love, it is very sweet. They saw eachother only last month, but can't wait until summer to see eachother again. Hopefully, sometime next year these two will get hitched and not have to say goodbye all the time. She is such a sweetheart, we are all looking forward to her visit.
Yes, love seems to be in the air...
I wish Gary and his new bride many years of loving bliss.. Please, Gary-don't do a newlywed reality show! Why do I think this eventually will happen? I tell you, mark my words, it will.
Yesterday was a beautiful day in the neighborhood! I took a break from the ghetto and took a pleasant walk to my favorite drug store, Longs to buy Valentines. I crossed the street and took a nice walk through the park where I saw an array of interesting people. There were the older people on the green playing bocci ball. They all looked so cute in their long knee socks, and white sun hats. I must take my camera along and take pictures of them one day. A little more down the path, I saw a bunch of transient looking folk having a "picnic" under a tree exchanging cuss words, fighting over who ate someone's Doritos. Then there were children feeding the ducks, and a crazy guy feeding seagulls. The seagulls were going crazy, flying over the guy--rats with wings I tell you---they can get quite vicious.
I made my way over the bridge, where I saw a gathering of young teen-age looking girls, standing together under the bridge. There was another gathering of people looking down at them from the bridge. Looks like one girl challenged the other to a fight, and both girls had their own set of friends standing on either side of them. Lovely. I guess they made plans to meet under the bridge for a fight. Gee.. these walks are pretty interesting, never a dull moment...I look forward to taking another tomorrow.
Tonight Nicholas and I will be making Valentine cupcakes and doing our Valentines. My older children are not interested in that anymore, but I will have years and years of Valentine years still in store with the little guy. Andrew won't admit to having a Valentine, although his step-brother did go shopping for Valentines, and did ask his father to stay out late... Hmm.. Kinda makes us believe he has a Valentine, hey? Lizzy broke up with her new boyfriend a few days ago. It was kind of sad for me-I will miss that Erik Estrada smile. She says she needs to be alone and out of a relationship for awhile-more power to her. Tomorrow will mark the 22 years since I married her dad-yes, I was only 19. Eeek. Thank God she isn't going down that path any time soon....
Thanks to Missie for the cute tag!

You're so very observant on your walks... LOL!! I'm really sorry, but I do not like Gary Coleman at all, I've met him in person several times... he is NOT the cute kid he once was!! He's extremely rude, and just plain obnoxious to EVERYONE he comes in contact with.... (well, except maybe for his new bride... LOL!!)
Joann
Happy Valentines Day
