Friday

Thank you Lisa Jo for the cute graphic.. :)

Well, I feel crappy, but at least it's Friday!

I'm leaving early today.  I have to stock up on Diet Pepsi--my sister-inlaw Becky is coming for a visit!  :)

It's been a looong...draining week...  May be it's just the lousy weather, or may be it's driving in the pouring rain at night after work almost every day this week.  Or may be it's just the kids being especially bratty more than usual.  I don't know--I'm just drained.  Energy level is at like, 2.

I can't believe it's February already.  My son Andrew is going on a field trip today to visit the high school he is due to attend in the Fall.  I am not quite sure if he'll be going to that high school.  It's my old high school, but there is a high school just down the street from our home.  Depending on where I work next Fall, will determine on which school he will go to.  He doesn't want to away from his friends--very understandable, BUT, going to school in one city and living in another is not fun either.  IF I do get a job in the city I live in by September it won't be a question of where he'll be attending.

Nicholas can start kindergarten in the Fall too.  His birthday falls a month before the cut off date.  That's another dilemma.  Having him go to school here or there.  If he goes to school there he'll be wearing a uniform.  All public schools in the district we live in require uniforms.

 Speaking of uniforms...

I did get a call for an interview for a position I applied and tested for, but I turned it down.  The position was for Sheriff's Technician.  I would be working shift work, starting nights, and I'd have to wear a uniform.  Eeew.  Me in a Sheriff's uniform?!  Yuck.  No thanks.  I used to work shift work once--it completely throws you off, and you are a zombie during the day.  Moms just can't sleep during the day--at least I can't.  I'd only see my children perhaps a few hours of their wake time--who knows when I'd see husband. It paid well, but no thanks...money isn't everything.

I have a test for another job tomorrow morning... Wish me luck.  I also have another test next week to work for the school district.  I'm liking the idea of working only 10 months a year.  I'm pretty spoiled actually where I am now.  My employers know this.  They want me to stay, and be fat and happy and stay in the ghetto FOREVER.  NO ONE wants to do my job, because NO ONE knows what I do; it's called:  Job Security.  I don't think I'm ever going to find another employer quite like this one..but the gas money, the commute...urrg..  It's getting to me I'm afraid.  Ideally, I would like to win the lottery and just work part time so I can be home more with the kids.  Hopefully husband's business will just go sooo well it can be a possibility..but health insurance alone is so valuable where I am now.

Okay, my head is started to hurt.  I'm thinking too much on the things I need to do when I get home already.  Have a great weekend!!!

The comment you left about maternity clothes was so funny. I guess I should be happy there are so many options now!

I wouldn't want to wear a uniform for my job, either! I know what you mean about the job thing... it's so hard to juggle job, kids, family, etc. I wish I could work part-time too sometimes.  Probably ain't gonna happen.  I know I could NOT work nights. No way.

Good luck with the other positions you've applied for, I'm sure the right thing will come along soon!
Have a good weekend!
