No, I'm not really up with the World Cup news... Yesterday I took the day off and took the kids to the beach and some ice cream. It was my son's birthday, and the first day of summer, so day off was in order. It was a beautiful day, but the sand was too hot for my liking. Note to self: NEVER where sandals to the beach---wear sneakers. Anyway, it was a nice 78 degrees out by the seashore. When I got home, it was 102! Now, can you understand WHY my family needs a pool?!
YIPEEE!!!! I just found out that Portugal beat Mexico yesterday 2-1!!! YIPPPEEE!!!
Angola, Iran, Mexico... Who is the next victim?!

Julie get a pool! You won't regret it. I got one when my kids were younger and set up my computer right next to a window where I could keep an eye on them. One downfall is wet beach towels all over, but the good outweighs the bad.
