You may know that my family and I are fans of James Blunt and his song, "You're Beautiful". My daughter and I actually saw him in San Francisco earlier this year at the Fillmore and watched him perform this song. Little did we know that this song was going to be such a major success! It's a nice song, and it's kind of addicting, but it's easy to sing to. Often, when we are all in the car on our daily commute, we will all sing to it--even my youngest, Nicholas knows the words.
My older son Andrew burned a CD with this song, little did he know that there are two versions of it--the edited one that we hear on the radio, and the one one where James sings, he is "fu--ing high", instead of "flying high". Unfortunately, my son unknowingly burned the song that was not edited. Now, when I listen this CD I can do one of two things: try to sing over the naughty word and say FLYING, or lower the volume so my youngest doesn't hear it. Sometimes, however--I forget...
Oh well, you know you have made it to the BIG TIME if you have a parody of your song. I've found two for this particular song. This one: My Cubicle! I don't know who exactly sings this one, but I got it from my favorite station: http://todaysbestmix.com/home.php
And of course even Weird Al has one! To hear "You're Pitiful", click there----> here
I personally, like Weird Al's but, oh well, let me know what you think.
Is it just me, or does James Blunt's voice remind you of Andy Gibb too?
