Last night, for some odd reason, AOL would not let me post pictures! It took so long just to post the two I put in my entry last night, but it just wouldn't take this one! You can see the whole sign in this one, and my daughter is in it--she is so much more dramatic than me. I just wish it was bigger--can't seem to get it the same size as the others.. Oh well..
The more I look at the sign, the more it reminds me of Dunkin' Donuts; you are right! The only difference is that Dunkin' Donuts ALWAYS have donuts. This place doesn't!! Pretty nutty, huh? Make Me Nuts--Donuts (nuts..) Very clever; even the colors are the same. I'm guessing the owner of this place thought up of this idea after a trip to the states.. Or, may be the owner is the same guy who opened the brothel? Hmm..
After leaving Make Me Nuts after the breakfast, we were driving down the car rental pickup stop, when Nicholas just blurted out of no where:
"I hate Make Me Nuts!"
We all just burst out laughing. He says it now and then at home, and it's lost it's charm. His dad doesn't know what he is talking about, and no one is laughing anymore. This really disappoints Nick.
"You are supposed to laugh!"
Apparently the relatives in the Azores still see the humor in it. I will have to follow Nick with the camera so I can make a video. I've still not lost hope with my videos, but my computer is still in my room sitting on a low coffee table, and it is very hard to do anything in front of it, because I have no chair, just pillows.
It's Friday.. Wheww.. It's a 3 day weekend for county employees too, because Columbus. The kids do have school Monday though. This isn't fair, because, I still have to drive my son 40 miles from home early in the morning.. I will have to make a day of it. I'm planning a nice long walk near the ocean. I just hope the weather continues to be nice and summery around here.

Ah yes, Monday is the day that Europeans started bringing killer syphilis to the Americas. Sorry. I can't help but think that way since seeing a "Secrets of the Dead" documentary about syph many many years ago.
There is also a cool book and video by a California college prof called "Guns, Germs, and Steel" which is enlightening. Plus this Professor Diamond just seems like such a nice guy.

Bummer about school on Monday. We live in a little farm town and there is no school on Mondays for our kids. It is nice cause they always get a 3 day weekend. I like it too cause it gives me more time to spend with my Peanut hehehehe...smiles...
