Hello! Happy Thursday!
You know that saying, the "calm before the storm." This morning when I went to mom's to drop off my youngest, the weather was so calm. The sun was coming up through the trees, and it was very quiet---almost beautiful outside. Apparently a big ole' ugly storm is going to break by this afternoon, and they are saying we may get as much as 7 inches of rain before the end of the weekend! It' still calm outside right now. I hope this weather isn't going to delay the kid's flight from NJ tomorrow!!
Yes, it seems like yesterday, but they will be returning tomorrow night! Yeah!! :) I got numerous calls yesterday from the Empire State Building. Here are a few quotes:
"It's so cold mom, my hands hurt!" Lizzy (Where are her gloves?)
"The Statue of Liberty is closed until summer." Lizzy (Looks like they'll have to make another trip in the summer."
"The Statue of Liberty is so small!" Andrew (Andrew--everything is small from the top of the Empire State Building)
"We took the subway, and Dad never had taken it before. He didn't even know how to buy the tickets!" Lizzy (Oh gosh.. I wish I could have seen that!)
"Andrew is deleting pictures...his memory card is already full!" (Oh boy! I can't wait to see all these pictures!)
"Dad gave me his laptop! I may get an Iphone too!" (Oh boy...the spoiling of presents have yet not ended..)
Later last night (after 10pm) I get another call from Andrew:
"Mom, if I get an Iphone will you pay for the contract? I'll help you sell Avon! Please?!"
I told him he didn't need an Iphone.
"Please!!! I'll deliver brouchuresall over the neighborhood!"
I told him that I would think about it, but don't let your father buy one unless HE wants to pay for it.
Silence.
"I miss you Andrew!"
Said in a very sarcastic tone: "Well, I don't miss you!"
Lovely, huh? It didn't hurt my feelings-it actually gave me a good laugh.
Gee, I hope his atitude changes when he gets back home!

Hey... the subways don't look like that anymore!! THey are all clean and nice inside... lol Yes, everything does look small, especially Liberty from atop the Empire State Building. Today is only 19 degrees at 2pm in NJ... good thing they went yesterday... it was 26 degrees! LOL
Oh my teen attitude from 3000 miles away!! Gotta love it...
be well,

Lol! I'd love an iphone, but i dont need one. i'm spoiling myself with my sidekick as it is. But they sure do look cool so i can understand him wanting one.
I'd love to visit NY, never done it but God willing one day I will. So much to do and see and experience. I'll take Adam with me (of course) but only once he gets used to city living. Else he might have a panic attack being in NY. Oh and I wanna go to LA too...really wanted to go to vegas but Adam is anti-sin-city. might have to do that one as a sneaky trip! lol! Even though its sad that their dad is so far away and they dont get to see him, it does mean getting to see a different city and that can never be too bad...cept for when their mom misses them! :)

BEAUTIFUL PICS!!!! Great photographers?? You might ask Andrew if he's willing to SELL Avon himself... I'm sure the neighbors wouldn't mind helping him pay for his iPhone!! = )

I've never been in the Empire State building. I've been in the Statue of Liberty though. Never made it to the Twin Towers either. I'm glad your kids are having a great time in NY!

Sounds like funfunfun for the kids...when they get home they are going to talk to you a mile a minute. Love, lisa
I think if the ex buys the kid an iPhone it should come with the ex paying for the service. After all, what good is the phone without the service? Ha! --Cin
