It's a windy Thursday, and there is a fire in the mountains. Read all about it here:

Fire is always scary, and when you mix it with 40mph winds, it can be devastating. The good news, we aren't having 100 degree weather like we were having last week. At the moment the fire is still miles away from my commute route towards home, so I'm hoping it won't effect my drive home tonight. If worse comes to worse, I'll have to spend the night at my moms.
Thank you for the comments you left about my cousin, Tania. I think she will be tickled to read your comment, Bill. LOL.. I'm sorry, but you are going to have to tell your nephews that she is "spoken for" already. I failed to mention that she graduated with a degree in law--yes, she is one smart cookie. The patches that you see there, I'm guessing represent her and the clubs/activities/classes she participated in. You may have noticed the three flag patches. The first one the white and blue flag is for the Azores (where is was born--9 Portuguese islands in the Atlantic) Like the states, each region has it's on flag. Then you have the Canadian flag representing her dual citizenship of Canada, and then you see the U.S. patch, for her dad who is an American citizen. I'm all guessing this of course.
It's Thursday already, and this week couldn't be dragging more. It's been stressful and hectic lately, but I am thankful. Here is my list for Thankful Thursday:
1. I'm thankful that my youngest son is adapting to preschool full time. My mom is unable to watch him well at this time, and he seems to be enjoying and not complaining about being at school a full day.
2. I'm thankful my son Andrew has been spending the evenings with mom the past few weeks with no complaints.
3. I'm thankful I have another car. My car is at home waiting for a tune up, and I've been driving the family van. Last Friday my car stalled late in the afternoon. (Not a good week.) Thankfully it happened when I was parked in a parking lot, and already had Nicholas with me. Thankfully after about 10 minutes of waiting for what Nick said "forever and ever", the car started, and actually took me home. Hubby escorted me back home of course, just in case.
4. I'm thankful that I'm blessed with a good family and supportive friends. You know who you are.
5. I'm thankful that the weekend is coming, and I'm hopeful that next week will be a better one. Happy thoughts...everyone--send them my way, please!!

Wild fires would be very scary. Wish I could send some of the rain we've been having here in PA, back your way!
