Safe & Sound

Well the crew is home, and all is well! 

It was a long day for all of them, but they weren't tired enough to fill me in on all the details of their vacation--to make it short they had an AWESOME time.  My brother's kids LOVED their time there (of course they did), and here is a direct quote from one of my nephews:

  "It was the best vacation I've ever had!"

I asked if anyone wanted to go with me when I leave in August, and of course everyone EVERYONE does.  :)  This is good news; we have to keep up the family tradition of trips to the Azores; this family tradition cannot fade away!  I'm sure our Azorean ancestors are smiling in heaven; especially my dad who always wanted to see my brother bring his kids over there to visit.  It was the first time my brother was able, and I have a feeling it won't be the last.By the way, today is my daddy's birthday.  Happy Birthday Daddy!  Damn, I miss you!   

In other news...

Today I'm getting new windows in my house.  I have all my curtains and blinds down, and pictures hanging near the windows down.  My house looks a total mess.  Good thing I didn't really have time to clean it.  I spent some time in the garden yesterday and cleared out some pine needles and leaves because I knew that cleaning a house before the window men arrived would be a total lost cause.  I'm still a bit tired from my drive yesterday to tell you the truth.  It was a long day.

I have to go hop in the shower and get my kids all ready to go before the window men invade my house.  It's a beautiful day, and I'm sure I'll find something to do to stay away from the house awhile.  Perhaps, shop for shoes?!  Oh..  I have some interesting airport stories to tell later; yeah it's about my mom and her meds.  Okay, I'm off for now--have an awesome day!!
