Thank you ADerasta Creations for the above picture.. :)
I'm happy to report, that I haven't had any weird dreams lately! :) Nope, I just woke up with a headache--as if a midget with big boots came over to my house and kicked me on the side of the head. May be it it was an elf. Tis' the season, ya' know...
Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving with my husband's family, and it was a nice and short visit. The food, I must say was excellent. I never knew how much I liked cranberry sauce--I mean, the real stuff--not the canned ones that you cut in slices. I bought myself a bag of cranberries, and I hope to try that receipe that Monsponett sent me earlier last week. This year we are going to have two Thanksgiving dinners.. Thursday we will be at my brothers, and I'm bringing some side dishes, including the cranberry sauce--as long as I don't mess up the receipe.
The cold weather just makes you want to stay at home and eat; don't it? It's not raining at the moment, but there is a chill in the air, and it's overcast. When the weather is like this, I just want to stay in my pajama pants, play on the internet with a warm cup of coffee, watch some T.V. near a lit fireplace, and make cookies---notice that none of these activities include going to work. I do have my weekend planned however. Wednesday I'm making a few desserts to bring to my brothers, Thursday, my brother's house, Friday--a little shopping, (mostly sitting in front of my computer), and Saturday or Sunday I'm taking my son Andrew to see Happy Feet at the Imax theatre. Lizzy saw it this weekend with her boyfriend, and she tells me that I MUST see this film--she even volunteered to baby sit the little guy. It will be fun going to see it with Andrew--it will be quality time with my middle child. Poor kid was the "baby" of the family for so many years..I sometimes think I just don't spend enough time with him. I know one day in the near future, he won't be too excited to spend the afternoon with his Mama, so I better take advantage of him still wanting to hang out with me. It shall be fun. I have yet to take Nicholas to a movie theatre mostly because I'm afraid he won't sit still, or get bored and want to leave after 10 minutes into the movie. I think an Imax theatre is a little too extreme for a first time 3 year old.
Has anyone else seen Happy Feet?!
My husband and I went to see Borat recently.
It was a very interesting film. It was entertaining, but, let's say, I'm never in the mood to see an extremely fat, short man wrestlewith a very tall and thin, hairy man, both in the nude. The film was interesting, mostly because it shows a human side of people that you usually don't see when a film is scripted. Most of the people in the film, don't know what is going on, so you have some very raw reactions.. A lot of the content however, may be offensive to many.
It's a short, and busy week for me, so I don't think I'm be posting any entries any time soon. I want to wish you all a very blessed Thanksgiving, and I hope all of you have many things to be thankful for. I also hope all of your Thanksgiving cooking comes out perfectly, and I hope none of us gains an ounce of poundage from any extra helpings of pie. Turkey is fine and all, but what I like most are the desserts. Forget the turkey, hand me another piece of pie!!
